CAUGHT
ELSEWHERE

Stop performing. Rip the curtain.

Caught Elsewhere photography

What remains when the performance stops.

Caught Elsewhere is built around the moments that happen outside expectation — the glance before the pose, the silence after it, the movement nobody expects to become a photograph.

The image may be spontaneous, but the perspective is intentional.

SELECTED WORK

STORIES

Directing attention elsewhere.

Photojournalism and documentary stories focused on people, identity, place and realities too easily overlooked.

Caught Elsewhere approaches these stories through collaboration rather than observation from a distance — working with communities, not using their experiences as imagery.

Different processes create
different ways of remembering.

Caught Elsewhere works across digital and analogue photography, choosing the format according to the atmosphere, subject and story.

ABOUT CAUGHT ELSEWHERE

Caught Elsewhere began with the discovery of my father’s old cameras and a growing interest in the photographs that happen between expected moments.

Working across digital and film, my approach is shaped by observation, memory, and the belief that some images become meaningful precisely because nobody expected them to.

What remains when the performance stops.

Caught Elsewhere is interested in the moments that exist beyond the pose — the expressions, gestures, environments, and details that reveal something more honest than what was planned.

Caught Elsewhere’s main vision is to document stories that direct attention toward people, communities, and realities that deserve to be acknowledged more closely.

Alongside commissioned work, the project is developing a photojournalistic and documentary practice focused on identity, place, displacement, social issues, and overlooked circumstances. The aim is to work with communities, not use their experiences or suffering as imagery, but to preserve their messages and direct attention toward realities some people actually face.
