What We Carry

A photographic story about identity, memory, and what remains after displacement.

What does someone carry when they cannot carry everything? Beyond possessions, displacement can reshape relationships with language, memory, tradition, home and identity.

This project explores what remains — the objects, habits, memories, ambitions and parts of self that continue even when a person is forced to begin somewhere else.
